Holding on to him because he's familiar.

I use to know this all to well, you know staying in a cold relationship for different reasons just because you and him have history.  If you find yourself not caring about when and what he does then you are probably holding on to him because he is a familiar face.  Sometimes we women tend to try to fix a man who doesn't want to be fixed. When a man or woman is feed up it takes a massive amount of time to get back on track.  Late nights, partying, text messages that are concealed could only mean one thing someone in the relationship is not feeling complete anymore.  It's plenty of distractions in today's society; if you want to really make it work you must cut all ties to the outsiders.  Then and only then will you be able to sit down and talk about what is causing you to feel disconnected from your partner.  It may take a few sessions of talking and working toward changing both of your attitudes but with hard work, more romance and time you can keep holding on to that familiar person.
